Thrive 25' Report

Transform Work partnered with The Business Connection and SOLAS to organise Thrive’25 Conferences - a multi-city Christian event designed to encourage, equip, and empower believers to live out their faith in the workplace and bring transformation wherever they are.

Over the course of one week, the conference toured five cities - Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, and Edinburgh. No two conferences were the same: each city hosted a unique programme, featuring a total of 35 speakers and supported by 48 volunteers across the conferences. More than 300 people took part in Thrive’25, a remarkable milestone given that, although the conference has its roots in Aberdeen, it was new to the other cities.

Many sacrificed to make this conference possible - from speakers who flew in from as far as America and others who travelled from across England, to participants who journeyed great distances to attend. One even took two days to travel from the Scottish isles to Edinburgh!

Looking ahead, our hope is that Thrive’25 will spark a movement of workplace Christian groups across Scotland. There is still much work to be done.

Read the comments of one of the participants below:

“I attended Thrive ‘25 conference in Inverness mid-September. Initially unsure as to whether this was relevant to the area of policing, I was made to feel welcome in a relaxed environment.

It was encouraging to see how God is working across sectors. The main drive being to foster Christian connections in each industry or work sector. Key themes that emerged included balancing business responsibilities with Christian commitments, the manifestation of Christian values in the workplace, and integrating God's influence into daily work life.

There was teaching on the character of Nehemiah and his strategic approach to work: setting a plan and sticking to it. Also, teaching around the character of David and his journey through failin
gs and successes and Gods faithfulness.

Esther Tinklenberg gave a powerful message about Queen Esther highlighting stepping into purposes that God has planned for us and Ken Janke’s session closed the event with a challenging commission. This was beautifully complemented by worship.

The boldness and humility of the speakers was encouraging. I found the event to be a blend of learning and connection and hopefully, it left all who attended with a little spring in their step.

I would recommend you consider attending the event next year.”
